KAYAK CART-
The cart attaches to the stern of the kayak allowing it to be pulled from the bow handle.
CART-
The cart detached, laying on the "top" side.
SQUARE STOCK-
The highlighted areas show the frame sides constructed from the square aluminum stock.
ANGLE STOCK-
The highlighted areas show the frame sides constructed from the angle aluminum stock. Top piece is covered with pipe insulation for cushion.
ROUND STOCK--
The highlighted areas show the frame sides constructed from the round stock. I used a found piece made of steel, which was consequently difficult to bend, but sturdier that aluminum would have been.
CROSSBAR--
The top crossbar (angle stock) is attached to the side frame (square stock) with bolts. Note that this crossmember is attached through the angle of the stock. This lets the cart contact the kayak on the flat.
CROSSBAR--
The bottom crossbar (angle stock) is attached to the side frame (square stock) with bolts, also. However, this time through the flat side.
SUPPORT BRACES--
The supports (angle stock) are riveted to the frame side at an angle. Holes drilled in the frame provide access for the rivet placement and installation.

This view shows the flip side of the above.
BRACKETS--
The supports (angle stock) are riveted to the lower crossbar at an angle. This strengthens the frame and provides extra support for the load bearing lower crossbar.
AXLE--
A clevis pin acts as the axle, a washer between the tire and frame prevents any binding and a cotter pin secures it.
